The Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI), situated in L’Aquila, Italy, offers post-graduate instruction for “Philosophiae Doctor” (Ph.D.) degrees in the disciplines of Computer Science, Regional Science, Economic Geography, Mathematics in the natural, social, and life sciences. 39th Cycle Call GSSI University – Scholarship Amount

GSSI provides financial aid up to four years before the dissertation defense.
The scholarship has a gross annual value of €16.243,000. If approved by the GSSI, an extra 50% per month may be given for research stays overseas.

How to submit Application GSSI University 39th PHD Call?

Candidates must complete the online application form at www.gssi.it/phd, where they may obtain all the information needed for submission and upload the appropriate files.

There are six sections or steps in the application form. After completing each stage, you can use the Save option to save a draft of the application. Fields marked with a (*) are required fields. You must submit the application once it is finished. A brief summary of your application form will be included in your confirmation email after submitting the application. Please be aware that once you’ve submitted your application, you can no longer alter it.

Information about the Admission and Selection Process to apply for 39th Cycle Call GSSI University:

The Selection Committee will assess candidates based on their educational background, talents, and scientific merit. The selection committee will also evaluate a candidate’s educational background, extracurricular activities, involvement in research groups or projects, adequacy of their CV, references, and any publications they may have.

Each of the four scientific fields—physics, mathematics, computer science, and social sciences—will have its own selection committee. There will be two stages to the selection process:

Assessment of Application:

Evaluation of all applications received through the online process, concluding with the posting on the GSSI website of the shortlist of applicants selected for an interview.

Interview:

After being shortlisted, the applicants will be asked to take part in a thorough in-person or online English interview to evaluate both their English competence and their aptitude for research in the curriculum for which they have applied. It is possible to select an interviewing technique. Please be aware that GSSI retains the right, depending on the organization’s needs, to conduct interviews only via video conference.
